This page explains what personal data tolkme.com ("we", "the service") collects when you use it, why, who we share it with, and what rights you have. For our legal name and contact address, see our Imprint.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it to third parties. We don't run ads and don't share your information with data brokers or marketers.
Depending on the data: your consent (e.g. the checkbox before a call), performance of a contract (running your subscription), and our legitimate interest in preventing abuse and keeping the service financially sustainable (Art. 6(1)(a), (b) and (f) GDPR).
We use a small number of service providers ("processors") to run tolkme.com. Each only sees the data it needs to do its job:
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Vapi (and the voice/AI providers it uses on our behalf) | Powers the live conversation and generates call summaries |
| Stripe | Payments, subscription billing, invoices |
| Netlify | Hosting the website and the small server functions it runs on |
| Resend | Sending verification codes and "we're live" notification emails |
Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA (for example, in the United States). Where that happens, we rely on their Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards required under GDPR.
We keep your most recent call summaries (up to the last few calls) so Luna can recall them. Subscriber and billing records are kept for as long as your subscription is active, and afterwards for as long as required by tax and accounting law. You can request full deletion of your data at any time (see below) — where we're not legally required to keep something (like invoices), we delete it.
After verifying your email, a small session token is stored in your browser's local storage so you don't have to look anything up mid-call. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Under GDPR, you can ask us to: access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or receive a copy in a portable format. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details in our Imprint.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
